This will be a gentle flow class suitable for complete beginners or someone looking to slow down their practice. In each class we will learn to flow through postures, connect to our breath through pranayama and calm the mind.

Sound & Chant

These workshops combine working with sound and movement (yoga postures), seated work with sound, and also seated Vedic chant. The sound work is accessible to anyone: my aim is to help people find their own “voice”.

These workshops can help people who have lost confidence with singing or any type of performance. The aim is to connect more deeply with our selves from the inside in a safe way and to explore our own resonance and creativity. Working with sound is potentially empowering and freeing – as well as very enjoyable!

Lynn spent 30 years in education and is trained in Stress Management. She came across meditation and yoga in her early twenties and has practised both since. Her own particular journey through a debilitating illness lead her to a different kind of yoga/movement and mindfulness practice which resulted in the creation of her ‘Be Here Now’ workshops. These workshops give participants an opportunity to take time for themselves in the wonderful space at Clonlea Yoga Studio. Each workshop consists of very gentle mindful movement, visualisations, breathing, relaxation, uplifting words and some fun. All of which facilitate present moment awareness.

Iyengar Yoga, named after and developed by B. K. S. Iyengar, is a form of Hatha Yoga that has an emphasis on detail, precision and alignment in the performance of posture (asana) and breath control (pranayama). The development of strength, mobility and stability is gained through the asanas. Iyengar Yoga focuses on the structural alignment of the physical body through the development of asanas. Through the practice of a system of asanas, it aims to unite the body, mind and spirit for health and well-being. This discipline is considered a powerful tool to relieve the stresses of modern-day life which in turn can help promote total physical and spiritual well-being.

Seoidín O’Sullivan has been practicing yoga for the last 20 years and qualified as an Intermediate Iyengar Yoga Teacher in 2018. She currrently trains with Senior Level Iyengar Yoga teacher, Eileen Cameron.

I like to link my yoga teaching to everyday life: to the cycles of our lives and of nature, so we become more in tune with ourselves and the world around us. I generally take a theme for the term, and develop it as the weeks go by, so there is a sense of continuity and growth through the term. I also draw on words and ideas from yoga teachings to enrich our felt experience in the practice.

All my life I enjoyed teaching, so it is not surprising that I wanted to share my discovery of yoga’s power to relax and revitalise.

I trained as a Hatha yoga teacher with the Irish Yoga Association. Their training is over a 4 year period to ensure a properly assimilated experience of yoga’s essential elements.
